Summary
WorldView has developed a GIS framework for analyzing the environmental impacts of rural, residential and urban non-point source pollution for a conservation district in central Pennsylvania. Named Project W.A.T.E.R (Watershed Assessment Triggering Environmental Results), the project provides conservation staff with mapping tools and data for managing critical district information in the office and in the field. Working in cooperation with the district and using ArcIMS, WorldView has also created a web site for viewing, querying, and printing GIS data for each watershed in the County. Data layers include parcels, roads, farm fields, watersheds and streams. A number of analysis tools are provided on the site, including buffering, map export and layer analysis.
