Enterprise Web Editing
Summary
WorldView developed a template based GIS editing application for the Department that allows for simple editing of feature linked to the Department’s Central Environmental Database System (CEDS). As new functionality is required by a division, the Department can quickly build an editing template to link non-spatial data stored in CEDS with new features in the GIS.
Interactive Stream Assessment Resource
Summary
Working with the Virginia Commonwealth University Center for Environmental Studies, Worldview has deployed a Version 3.0 upgrade to the Virginia Department of Environmental Quality’s INSTAR (Interactive Stream Assessment Resource) database application, including enhanced end-user search and querying capabilities.
TMDL Data Conversion
Summary
WorldView assisted DEQ with the development of spatial data for total maximum daily load (TMDL) calculation and certain permitting activities. Using existing source materials, WorldView created polygon boundaries for all TMDL watersheds and provided appropriate attributes for all watersheds to facilitate maintenance of Waste Load Allocation (WLA) equations in the Comprehensive Environmental Data System (CEDS), used for permitting compliance reporting. The WLA is the portion of the TMDL that accounts for pollution from permitted point sources, and it cannot be exceeded during permit reissuance without modification of the TMDL equation. In addition, WorldView spatially enabled and validated data for point source facility (VPDES), general, Municipal Stormwater Discharge (MS4), and Virginia Pollutant Abatement (VPA) permits.
