MosquitoMap Application
Summary
MosquitoMap is an ArcGIS Server application that provides an online repository for mosquito collection data. MosquitoMap provides tools for not only the visualization of various mosquito collections but is also a clearinghouse where individuals and organizations can contribute mosquito occurrence records and search for mosquito information. The initial collection displayed on the map represents data collected in Central and South America.

Summary
WorldView is developing Vector Map, an ArcGIS Server based internet mapping application that allows users to view, query and analyze historical disease vector observation data; upload and instantly view new data collections for potential inclusion in the Smithsonian’s archival database. WorldView is also developing the Mal-area Calculator for VectorMap, a wizard like tool to assess relative vector-borne disease risk using geoprocessing-based multi-layer raster overlay analyses. This project follows the MosquitoMap proof of concept application previously developed by WorldView for the Smithsonian and WRBU.
