Summary
WorldView Solutions developed an ArcGIS-based tax map series automation solution for the City. This entailed creation of a tax map layout that closely matched the existing CAD based layout, utilizing minimal annotation in favor of automatic label placement. WorldView developed map automation techniques that incorporated irregular map sheet boundaries, varying rotation for each map sheet, and the automatic batch export of .pdf formatted digital map files.

The City of Charlottesville, Virginia has contracted with WorldView Solutions to develop a web mapping application. This application will provide constituents with access to a complete set of maps, data, and tools from the City’s web site. As part of the contract, WorldView also has the option to provide ten years of ongoing GIS support services to the City.
